Business process automation

Automate the handoffs that make work slow, fragile or hard to see. Growth Mode designs the process first, then builds the software, connections and operational controls it needs.

Headquartered in East Syracuse, serving Syracuse and Central New York with technology engineering delivered nationwide.

Discuss your workflow
01Where it helps

Practical problems worth solving.

The same information is entered twice

An employee copies a request from email to a spreadsheet, then into another application. Map where information originates and which system should own it before automating the transfer.

Approvals depend on reminders

Paper, sticky notes and individual inboxes hide work in progress. A defined approval workflow can route the request, capture its status and surface exceptions.

Reporting arrives too late

Manual reports are assembled after the work has happened. Connect the underlying data so teams can see outstanding tasks and operational conditions without repeatedly rebuilding a spreadsheet.

02What the work can include

Concrete deliverables, scoped to your operation.

  • Workflow mapping and bottleneck identification
  • Application and data connections
  • Request routing and approval workflows
  • Automated notifications with exception handling
  • Operational dashboards and reporting
  • User documentation, deployment and change management

Automation does not repair an unclear process by itself. Your team supplies process knowledge and helps validate rules. Scope depends on application access, data consistency and exception complexity. Deployment and ongoing support are agreed separately for the actual solution.

03Process & expectations

From discovery to working technology.

  1. 01

    Map the real process

Include the people, systems, handoffs and exceptions—not just the ideal flow. Agree which bottleneck is worth addressing first.

  2. 02

    Design the better workflow

Define data ownership, authorization, decision rules and what happens when a system or person cannot complete a step.

  3. 03

    Build and test the automation

Implement the connections or custom application required. Test normal work, duplicate inputs and failure paths with representative data.

  4. 04

    Roll out with the team

Introduce the changed workflow, train users and establish how it is monitored, supported and adjusted over time.

04Common questions

Before you begin.

Can you automate a process built around spreadsheets?

We assess whether the spreadsheet should remain an input, connect to another system or be replaced by an application. The right choice depends on how it is used and who needs access.

What happens when an automation fails?

Exception handling is part of the design: visibility, alerts, safe retries where appropriate and a defined person or team to resolve the issue. Requirements vary with the workflow.

Will staff still be involved?

Yes. Staff explain the work and validate the solution. Human approvals and manual exception paths remain wherever judgment or responsibility requires them.

Do you support organizations outside Syracuse?

Yes. We work with Central New York organizations and deliver nationwide, with remote and on-site needs determined during scoping.

Show us the handoff that keeps slowing work down.

Send an inquiry. We review the context, arrange a discussion and help identify practical next steps. Project scope and expectations follow from the actual requirements.
